Homeopathic Phone Consultations

Treating the Whole Patient - Not Just Removing Symptoms

JUDITH STOLZ, DVM, ND

Since the age of 4, I realized I was meant to be in the healing profession. It wasn’t until age 9 when I was finally able to get a dog that I knew I wanted to to pursue veterinary medicine. Showing horses and being in 4-H with horses until age 18 solidified that desire.
I worked tirelessly, got mostly straight A’s thru high school and college, volunteered at various local animal clinics - mainly as a clinic janitor and pooper scooper - attended Ohio State University for pre-vet courses, then finally made it into vet school.

New Patient? Here’s What to Expect

I offer phone and remote homeopathic consultations for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, farm animals, and small pets. (Why Phone Consultations?)
Homeopathy may support a variety of conditions, including chronic illness, skin concerns, digestive issues, mobility challenges, and behavioral concerns such as anxiety and fear. Each case is approached individually, with treatment tailored to your animal’s unique needs.

1

Step 1: Request a Consultation & Submit Records

To get started, please complete the contact form on this page and share a brief overview of your animal and the concerns you’d like to address.

As part of the intake process, veterinary records are required prior to scheduling a consultation. Please contact your current or previous veterinarians and arrange for your pet’s medical records to be emailed, ideally going as far back as possible (puppyhood or kittenhood, if available). These records are an important part of understanding your pet’s history and guiding the next steps.

Once your form has been submitted and records received, I will review the information and follow up to schedule your consultation.

2

Step 2: Initial Consultation

We will schedule a dedicated phone consultation at a convenient time for both of us. This session typically lasts about an hour or longer.

During our conversation, I will ask detailed questions to fully understand your pet’s condition, including their mental, emotional, and physical state. This allows for a thorough evaluation of your pet’s symptoms, alongside any conventional medical information provided.

Step 3: Treatment Plan & Follow-Up

Following the consultation, I will develop a personalized treatment plan and send your homeopathic remedy. Remedies may be provided in different forms, such as small globules or liquid preparations.

In some cases, I may also recommend specific herbs, supplements, or nutraceuticals, depending on your pet’s needs and what is practical for you to administer. Clear written instructions will be provided for all treatments.

Follow-up calls (typically 15–30 minutes) will be scheduled as needed to review your pet’s response and adjust the plan if necessary.

Homeopathic care is intended to complement—not replace—your regular veterinary care. I will never ask you to discontinue treatments prescribed by your veterinarian. In many cases, conventional medications or therapies may still be necessary. Decisions regarding ongoing treatments should always be made in consultation with your regular veterinarian.

What is homeopathy?

Homeopathy is the science of working towards a cure for the person or animal using minute quantities of a substance that is “similar” rather than “anti”.
The first recorded use of homeopathy was by Hippocrates in 400 B.C. He noticed that herbs given in a low dose tended to cure the same symptoms that they produced in a large poisoning dose.
In 1790 a German physician, Samuel Hahnemann, made similar observations and spent the next twenty years developing a medical system around the principle of “like cures like”.
Homeopathy treats the person or animal, not the name of the disease. We must choose the remedy according to the mental, emotional and physical symptoms the patient is experiencing.

Testimonials

  • Our pups have had Dr. Stolz for their homeopath for 5 years. My sweet baby girl, Reni, experienced sudden blindness followed by a partial paralysis of her back legs. My husband and I realized that the paralysis came about as a reaction to the steroids to save her eyesight. That’s when I called Dr. Stolz. Reni has made a complete recovery. Although she is now 7 years old, she still jumps and twirls to express her joyous nature! She’s such a joy.

Our big boy, Chance is 9 years old, which is getting pretty old for a Great Pyrenees. Although he has the usual back end weakness common to his breed, he is still excited about taking good care of his people. He's active to the point that we have to make sure he doesn’t overdo, and he no longer has the horrible body odor that made him a Dr. Stolz patient.

My husband and I can’t be more grateful for the help that Dr. Stolz has given our pups.

  • Dr. Judy Stolz has been my vet for about 25 years. In that time she has successfully treated my many animals. Whenever I have felt defeated by a diagnosis from conventional medicine, I feel confident she will provide an alternative using the body’s ability to heal. She thinks outside of the box to solve a seemingly difficult situation, is so generous with her time and is always available for consultation. I am grateful to have her in our lives.

  • Dr. Stolz has been our veterinarian for several years, first for our older Lab, Tommy, and now for our Great Dane mix Suzy. Suzy - at only 70 lbs - was found in the desert tied to a crate. Now our 140 lb Suzy is treated with homeopathy, herbs, probiotics and a great diet to strengthen her immune system and create the happy life she deserves.

  • After repeat urinary tract infections, crystals and 2 procedures to unblock his urethra - my neutered male cat, Mr. Greigh, had lost weight, was tired, sick from the antibiotics and at a high risk for reoccurrence of the blockage needing surgery. I consulted with Dr. Stolz and within 2 weeks of starting homeopathic treatment, Mr. Greigh started to improve, eat, gain weight and energy. A year later he is his bright, funny, happy energetic self and I am overjoyed to see him continue to improve. I highly recommend Dr. Stolz—she has a thoughtful approach to see what needs to be done immediately and then to put in place treatment for continued support to regain health in chronic conditions.

  • I got Gryffin as a rescue. I knew he had seizures, but I'd been led to believe well-controlled. He was having 2-4 seizures a week and sometimes 3 in a day - even with major increases in his medications. I started him with Dr. Judy and in a very short time, he was having seizures only every 2 to 3 weeks and they were much milder. I stopped homeopathy after a year and within a few months frequency increased dramatically. Went back to Dr. Judy and again, in a very short time, he became very stable and the seizures he's had are very mild.

  • I have consulted with Dr. Stolz on a regular basis for over 30 years for homeopathic and other natural treatments for my cats and dogs. We have treated seizure, bladder stones, hyperthyroidism, chronic diarrhea and other ailments successfully — sometimes using allopathic drugs when necessary. I have always gotten a quick response to my calls and emails, and I trust her advice implicitly. She is knowledgeable and compassionate. Through the hard and challenging times, she has been a friend and supported me, and there were some very hard times in 30 years. Her fees are more than fair and she takes as much time as needed to resolve the issue. I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Stolz.

Start a Phone Consultation Request

To get started, please follow these steps:
Arrange for veterinary records
Please contact your current or previous veterinarian and have your pet’s medical records emailed to you or directly to me. These records are an important part of understanding your pet’s history and are required before scheduling a consultation.
Share a brief overview
You can either complete the contact form on this page or send an email with a short description of your pet, the concerns you’re hoping to address, along with their diet and any supplements they are currently receiving.
Consultation scheduling
Once your information and records have been received and reviewed, I will be in touch to arrange a consultation time that works well for both of us.
A Note on Getting Started
I understand how important it is to feel confident in your pet’s care. Because each case deserves careful and thoughtful attention, I’m not able to offer brief introductory calls. Starting with your pet’s history and records allows me to properly assess their situation and provide the most meaningful guidance from the outset.
